Regarding Web Attendance/Grading.......

Installation was very easy and the payback will be amazing.

Because we implemented CIMS Web Attendance/Grading we have 16 scanners that we eventually will be able quit paying a huge annual maintenance contract on. Plus all the Tech time that will go to other things that was used addressing scanner issues.

We have a huge annual expense for bubble sheets that will no longer be ordered.

The training takes about 90 seconds. That may be a reach but people would fall asleep after 5 minutes as the interface is so easy and institutive.

We also will use the Web Grading instead of bubble sheets for final end of term grades.

After the building secretaries were trained on the program they were so happy to see a way to maintain attendance using a web interface. We set up an administrative account and tied all the teachers to this account for each building secretary and they can edit attendance using the web module. This too will save hours on a weekly basis as the editing is so much easier.

A shortcut for entering the user accounts made the data entry painless.

What more can I say? Our whole district is looking forward to using the new module and the feedback has been frequent and so positive.

I’m sending this email as a thank you to CMT, especially John, for all of the help and support during our migration to our new iSeries box! John’s expertise with IBM systems is priceless, but add to that his patience and flexibility in dealing with Pontiac as we switched install dates to better serve our end-users, and he becomes absolutely amazing!

I just wanted to send a thank you and let you know how wonderful it was to work with John through all of our issues as we moved to a new server. The transition has been quite seamless and I haven’t had any serious issues/complaints as of yet regarding the move.
